1. What is the Phenomenal Woman Blog and Network all about?

A capable, intelligent and virtuous woman-who is he who can find her? She is far more precious than jewels and her value is
far above rubies or pearls.
Proverbs 31:10 (AMP)
We at the Phenomenal Woman Blog and Network believe in one core and fundamental basic truth, that the woman should be and can be who and what God originally created her to be. In other words, the woman should, can and must fulfil the purpose for which God decided to form her, from ADAM’S RIB.
Not from his foot to be belittled neither from his skull to be above him but his rib to be one with him(NOT EQUAL), to complement him.

2. What are your core values?

In a phrase, our core value is to “be far above rubies”. That is how priceless and unique we are. Breaking this further down, we believe that
***Our identity as women is not based on what the world thinks, neither is it the clothes we wear, our identity is found in Christ.
***We believe we are capable of fulfilling whatever purpose God has called us into.
***That we’re intelligent to realise our purpose individually and collectively and to harness every God given potential to its apex.

3. What do you seek to achieve at the end of the day?

What we seek to achieve, at the end of the day, is a generation of mighty women, who know their place, power, strengths and potentials through the lens and full knowledge of Christ Jesus. A generation of women who do not need to be “men” to be given some opportunities in life or to take certain risks in life.

4. How does one become a member?

We’re frantically working on being a full blown network where the success of one woman is not an intimidating tool for the rest, but is the stepping stone for the success of one more woman, then the next, then the next. In the meantime you can send us an email Phenomenal@rubiesworth.com with your profile and what you’d like to bring on board the Phenomenal Woman movement. Make sure your profile, cv and a captivating short essay as to why you are Phenomenal are included.Yes, at the moment it is just social media oriented.

5. Are you feminists?

Depends on which angle you look at it from. We don’t share the opinion that “whatever a man can do, a woman can do better”! We believe that the woman was created after God had made Adam. This could only be for one reason, to do every and any other thing Adam couldn’t do. If God’s purpose for creating Eve was to do everything that Adam could already do, he would have made STEVE NOT EVE!

We don’t support the men and women are equal theory. We believe that we’re different, in whichever way you look at it except we’re both humans and children of God. However, we don’t accept that our difference should be a reason for anything. For instance, women should be given the opportunity to be in certain positions not because of Gender, but because we’re capable.

Our generation is becoming too busy trying to establish a baseless argument that women were made to be like men. Women have felt devalued and powerless, causing them to embrace the modern day fallacy that they must operate by male standards in order to gain reputation in today’s world.
As result of this ‘identity crisis’ women are loosing their uniqueness. The today’s woman is any other person than herself, jeopardising the very reason for her existence as a result of personal abuse and underutilised potentials.

To be or not to be.
We are more of who God has called us to be and yearning to be fruitful all round
We do not seek to take the position of the man, but rather accord the respect and honour he deserves as who God made him.
So are we feminists; maybe. But what I know for sure is that we are PHENOMENAL!

6. The 21st century woman has it all figured out so why the need for such a movement?

The 21st century woman doesn’t have it all figured out. From the time that history was first written down till date, women have literally had to fight for recognition even as a human being not a chattel or the like. That may not be the situation in this era as much has been done. However, there’s still work to be done. The 21st century woman can be described as a vine with branches stretching as far out but unfortunately lacking fruits.
Women are busy losing what is theirs and chasing after what is not. And even if you get what you were chasing after, and lost what you had, you haven’t figured it out, especially as a daughter of Zion. We seek to take this generation of women and those after back to the Glory we fell short off and this time, produce abiding fruits.
